The Wichita Falls Nighthawks did what no team had done since 2010: beat Sioux Falls at home. The Nighthawks defeated the Sioux Falls Storm 36-21 and ended the Storm's 68 game home winning streak. In a low scoring affair, K Rockne Belmonte's contributions made a large difference throughout the game. Belmonte got the Nighthawks on the board first as he converted a 56 yard field goal on the Nighthawks opening drive. Belmontewould go on to convert two more field goals (29 yards, 20 yards,) and convert three of his four extra points. Belmonte finished the game with game with 12 total points for the Nighthawks, a third of the team's total. The former IFL Special Teams Player of the Year leads the IFL with 17 converted field goals on the season. The Nighthawks look to continue their playoff push a they face the Green Bay Blizzard in Week 16.
