Nighthawks News & Updates

First Team All-IFL Quarterback and League MVP Re-signs

Charles McCullum is back to take care of Unfinished Business

During the 2016 season, McCullum led the Nighthawks to the team's first-ever playoff berth and helped the team sport the number one offense in the IFL. The explosive quarterback started 12 regular season games for the Nighthawks leading them to a 10-2 record during that span.
McCullum (6'2, 205, Stillman College) had a prolific season finishing the year completing 273 of 390 passes for 2,959 yards and 56 touchdowns. McCullum's 2,959 passing yards were the most in the IFL this season. His average of 246.1 passing yards per game was more than 50 yards more per game than any other IFL quarterback. The Nighthawks signal caller also proved to be laser accurate in 2016 as he led the IFL in completion percentage, completing 70 percent of his passes. A dual-threat quarterback, McCullum proved to be just as dangerous on the ground rushing for 132 yards, 11 touchdowns and helped the Nighthawks rank second in the IFL in rushing touchdowns.
